The copy is interleaved throughout and bears copious pencil annotations by Streeter on the interleavings as well as on the printed leaves of the book, and on inserted leaves (both typed and manuscript). Streeter adds considerable detail to Wagner-camp's bibliography, ranging from the addition of author's dates of birth and death to detailed bibliographical notes. He includes notes on his own copies, as well as on others he has examined, and quotes conversational anecdotes from other authorities. All but a handful of the 428 entries have notes by Streeter, ranging from several words, to lengthy passages and emendations. Laid-in at front are loose manuscript and typed notes, clippings and a prospectus for this edition. A SUPERB ASSOCIATION COPY, ANNOTATED BY ARGUABLY THE MOST CELEBRATED AMERICANIST OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.
