FIRST EDITION of this rare book on minining illustrated with plates "of very unusual quality" (Duveen) and showing mining, tools and smelting. "This author supported Agricola in the view that metals and ores did not spring spontaneously into being at the moment of the earth's Creation. This was an important step in the correct understanding of the origin of ore deposits" (Hoover). Duveen 229; Hoover 322.
