135 x 115 mm. Calligraphic manuscript on vellum, including three leaves of purple vellum. 34 leaves. Illustrated with 12 illuminated engravings on paper by Hieronymus Wierix cut-out and mounted on vellum leaves, and with an additional colored woodcut mounted on paper and added in the 19th century. Latin text written in blue, red, black and gold (Silver text on purple leaves oxidized.) 19th-century illuminated leaf added and mounted on a paper leaf at the end. 18th-century calf (worn and rebacked). Provenance: note on laid paper laid-in noting purchase of the volume in Brussels, 24 July 1849; acquired from Goodspeed's Book Shop, 1975.

A FINE CALLIGRAPHIC MANUSCRIPT, displaying a variety of scripts and sizes, and containing 50 prayers. The calligrapher, Charles Lang, notes on the title leaf that he made the manuscript in honor of his brother, David Lang.
