8o (165 x 103 mm). Printed on rectos only. 25 engraved emblems and 27 engraved escutcheons. (Small repaired hole on title.) 19th-century red morocco, edges gilt but some deckle edges preserved, by Thibaron-Joly. Provenance: acquired from Seven Gables Book Shop, 1977.

FIRST EDITION of this rare example of an emblem book designed for use as an autograph album. The autographs, with the arms of the contributors, are intended to be written and filled in on the alternating pages with blank shields.
