With broad doubled-edged hand-forged blade cut on each face with twin fullers, tapering oblong ricasso bearing a mark on one face, ornate iron guard comprising long slightly recurved quillons, diagonal side-ring and short slightly upturned bar each with openwork sections and finials, the bars and finials each chiselled with foliage, good quality wire-bound grip with Turk's heads, and large openwork pommel cut with foliage and a band of beadwork
