With tapering double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section cut with twin fullers and struck with a maker's mark on each face, each fuller engraved with two orb and cross marks, a running wolf mark and signed 'WEILM TESCHE', grooved oblong ricasso incised with border-lines, iron guard comprising straight spatulate quillons each with ball finial, flattened outer side-ring linked to the rounded arms by two flattened bars, the outer elements all with shallow medial ridge, inner-guard formed of slender rounded bars with thumb-ring, later good quality spirally-fluted steel-wire-bound grip with brass wire Turk's heads, amd faceted plummet-shaped pommel wit prominent tang-button
