With double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section cut on each face with twin fullers at the forte extending through the oblong ricasso, the fullers each with traces of original etched decoration, later iron guard formed of flat bars chiselled in low relief with foliage and animals against a blackened ground, comprising pointed quillon-block, horizontally recurved quillons, side-ring and diagonal bar, short upturned bar and arms, inner-guard of two slender bars, well-made wire-bound grip with Turk's heads, and 17th century fluted pommel
