With long slender hollow-ground blade of diamond section widening to a spatulate tip, ricasso retaining its original leather covering, iron guard comprising cup formed as six segments each with a slight dished plate pierced with dots and stars, grooved pointed quillon-block, and short quillons with scrolled tips and short bifurcated arms joined to the rim of the cup, wire-bound swelled grip with narrow Turk's heads, and spirally gadrooned spherical pommel with central band and prominent tang-button
