With double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section signed 'DE TOMAS AIALA' on each side within the deep central fuller at the forte, slightly dished oblong ricasso with traces of a mark on each face, iron guard of rounded bars retaining traces of original fire-gilt finish in sheltered areas, comprising grooved quillon-block, straight quillons each with swelled tip, side-rings, knuckle-guard with swelled tip, and inner-guard of slender bars, later spirally-fluted wire-bound grip with Turk's heads, and globular pommel with prominent tang-button
