A BRACE OF ALL-STEEL STILETTO DAGGERS IN NORTH ITALIAN MID-17TH CENTURY STYLE

The first with fullered blade of stiff diamond section, the ricasso chiselled with foliage, and hilt comprising guard with short straight quillons each with stylised acorn finial, chiselled and pierced grip in the form of sea monsters, and portrait-bust pommel; the second with slender blade of stiff diamond section, the ricasso struck with a mark on each side, and hilt comprising guard with short quillons each formed as a sea monster's head, and chiselled and pierced grip in the form of two monkey's each covering its ears with its hands
