With two-stage octagonal to round sighted barrel flared at the muzzle, with turned girdle, and decorated on the breech-section with scroll engraved inlaid brass panels and beads with central applied silver trophy of arms roundel (worn), tang and signed flat bevelled lock decorated with further engraved brass panels, figured walnut three-quarter stock carved in low relief with scrollwork and adapted to folding butt, and brass mounts engraved en suite with the barrel and lock, the butt-plate and side-plate each with further applied silver roundels (worn) en suite with the breech, and later brass-tipped ramrod
