With swamped signed sighted barrels each with full length sighting flat and engraved with a band of beadwork at the breech (one signature worn), foliate engraved tangs, flat bevelled detented locks each signed 'J. RICHARDS' and with stepped tail (one cock and both steels replaced), figured walnut full stocks (one fore-end repaired, the other cracked) with flat-sided butts, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guards each with acorn finial, silver escutcheons each engraved with initials, and later horn-tipped ramrods, London proof marks and barrelsmith's mark 'IR' for John Richards
