With very long swamped octagonal sighted barrel incised with lines at the muzzle and breech, grooved tang, plain lock with wheel-cover, and fruitwood full stock profusely inlaid with engraved white staghorn bands (minor loss along fore-end), flowering tendrils, plaques including a shield bearing the initial 'F' held by two supporters, butt-plate engraved with Roman numeral 'II', and a panel carved in relief with a figure in 16th century costume, iron trigger and trigger-guard, and ramrod with large white staghorn tip engraved en suite
