With slender tapering double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section changing to stiff diamond section at the tip, the forte etched and silver-gilt on each face with a panel of flowering foliage, and characteristic heavy fire-gilt copper-alloy hilt decorated throughout with panels of flowering foliage against a punched ground (arms of hilt slightly squeezed together), in original velvet-covered scabbard with gilt-brass mounts decorated en suite
