With broad single-edged blade with slightly upturned tip, each face cut with triple fullers along the back-edge at the mid-point and with short twin fullers at the forte, and with two panels on each side of gold-damascened Arabic script, one translating to 'Made by Abdal-Majid of Hama in Damascus, Syria', waisted hilt comprising flat iron tang damascened with gold running foliage around the edge, and dark horn grip-scales retained by three rivets, two with silver-damascened domed caps on the outer side, in original green-velvet-covered wooden scabbard with deep iron locket and chape each with silver-damascened foliate decoration
