EARLY 17TH CENTURY, WELSH
The larger central cartouche coat of arms initialled WG and KG for Walter Griffiths of Brongain, Llanfechain, Montgomeryshire and his wife Katherine of Hordley, Shropshire, with two further outer panels of coats of arms initialled E and K, the former depicting a goat climbing a tree, the latter with a sword-bearing arm over a sun, with a rosette or leaf filled quatrefoil motif in between
