Cover chased with a putto amidst military trophies, on snakeskin ground edged with a border of diaperwork and foliate scrolls, the base similarly decorated with a man fishing with buildings to either side; together with a George II silver-gilt snuff-box, maker's mark only of William Lestourgeon struck inside cover and in base, London, circa 1760, the cover chased with rococo scroll work
