This composition is based on a print after the picture by Jan Brueghel I sold at the Palais des Beaux-Arts, 19-21 February 1958, no. 104 (see K. Ertz, Jan Brueghel der Ältere: Die Gemälde, Cologne, 1979, p. 571, cat. 85, and illustrated p. 58, no. 28).
