The white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands, the three quarter plate keyless jewelled movement with spring detent, free sprung bimetallic compensated balance with helicol spring, rose-cut diamond end stone, the plain case with blue enamel chapter ring, hallmarked London 1884, case diameter 53mm
The dial, movement and cuvette signed John Bennett, 65 & 64 Cheapside, London, movement no. 17328, the cuvette additionally engraved Maker to the Royal Observatory
