A George IV mahogany, ebonised and cut-brass inlaid mantel clock
the drum-shaped case with fluting to the top below a bronze bud finial, with ripple moulded panel below the dial and foliate carving to the sides, on tapering rectangular base centred by a glass panel and flanked by recessed triangular panels with anthemion carved finials above, on inverted breakfront plinth (piece of moulding missing to one side), the white painted Roman dial with strike/silent lever above XII, steel crescent hands, with retailer's signature Mr William Patey 19, Manor Gardens HOLLOWAY LONDON (some rubbing and chipping), sound frets to the back door, the twin fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, pendulum holdfast partially covering the signature for Turner Fenchurch St London -- 17in.(43cm.) high
