CASE: the hexagonal case with glazed side panels, the hinged cover to underside of case with integral bell with single brass bell strap, raised on toupee feet, with later finials DIAL: the foliate engraved brass dial with a moulded rim surrounding the silvered Roman chapter ring, brass alarm disc with foliate engraved centre, blued steel hand MOVEMENT: with chain fusee and verge balance wheel escapement, standing barrels for count wheel strike and alarm to bell, pierced and engraved balance cock and foliate engraved strike hammer, the back plate signed Jeremias Pfaff/Aug, numbered count wheel with blued-steel pointer, the movement secured by two iron latches; with later winding key
