the silvered dial with painted Roman chapter ring, blued steel hands, with central alarm hand adjusted from a button to the top, inscribed REVEIL, the Continental bridgecock verge movement with chain fusee and link to subsidiary alarm assembly with hammer striking against the inside of the case, French, early 19th century -- 3¾in.(9.5cm.) and another similar composite example with verge movement signed LONDON No 657 and alarm assembly signed J. Cox Savory 47, Cornhill -- 3½in.(8.5cm.) high
