A George II cream jug
of inverted pear shape, on a gadrooned rising circular foot scratch-engraved with initials and with a caryatid scroll handle, the body cast and chased with rococo flowers and scrolling foliage incorporating a C-scroll cartouche engraved with a crest and monogram, the lower part of the body with a frieze of rocaille decoration, maker's mark indistinct, London 1752 - 4½in. (11.50cm.), 5.25oz.
