A pair of table globes, diameter 12inches (305 mm), overall height 24½in. (622 mm) Each globe made up of two sets of 12 engraved gores, hand-coloured in outline, celestial gores laid to the ecliptic poles and decorated with constellation figures arranged after John Flamsteed's tables, names in Latin and English, the terrestrial marking the tracks of the voyages of James Cook Auson's voyage and the trade winds (both globes with old repairs and re-varnished). Iron axis, engraved brass hour and meridian circles, the celestial with engraved calendar on the meridian circle, printed and coloured horizon ring on tripod mahogany stands with turned columns
