The hexagonal case with painted and gilt porcelain panels depicting classical female figures signed Lefranc, with columns to the angles and floral finials, presentation plaque to base, the porcelain dial with Arabic hours and gilt brass hands, a ribbon and floral garland to centre, the twin barrel movement with brocot escapement and suspension, rack striking on a gong, the pendulum with porcelain roundel to centre, winding key and two regulating keys; with a pair of oviform vases en suite, decorated with classical figures and temples, also by Lefranc
