Lot Essay

David Evans, Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors 1938-1959, exibited at the Leeds City Art Gallery Inaugural Exhibition of the Work of Living British Artists, 1927, Manchester Art gallery 1927 and the Palace of Arts Empire Exhibition, Scotland, 1938.

The Mill Green Museum includes 'Oceanus' by Evans dated 1938 and made in his Welwyn Garden city studio for the Council Chamber in Welwyn.
