The moulded cornice strung in ebony and banded in satinwood, the astragal glazing bars enclosing six adjustable mahogany-fronted shelves, the interior now lined in baize, the secretaire drawer enclosing a gilt tooled burgundy leather writing surface, plum-pudding mahogany small drawers with ivory handles, and arched and square pigeon holes, above three long graduated drawers, the wings each with five graduated drawers
