Lord Brougham became Lord Chancellor in 1830 and played an important role in the passing of the 1832 Reform Act and the 1833 Anti-Slavery Act. Samuel Parker (fl.1820-1831) made a series of small bronze busts, examples of which are in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
