FIRST EDITION WITH FINE ENGRAVED PLATES AFTER GUERCINO. The engraved vignette on title is by Giovanni Ottaviani, the frontispiece by Giovanni Battista Piranesi and the plates by Francesco Bartolozzi, Giovanni Ottaviani, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Giacomo Nevay, Tommaso Piroli and Aureliano Milani. The book is rarely found complete and has often sold at auction with a smaller number of plates.
