Bright and Co. shared premises with Argand and Co. at 37 Bruton Street, London from about 1805 and Bright seems to have taken over the Argand business by around 1825 (Yorkshire, Temple Newsam House, 'Country House Lighting 1660-1890', Exhibition Catalogue, 1992, no. 72). Lamps by Bright and Co. were sold from the collections of the Dukes of Bedford: Property from Two Ducal Collections, Christie's, Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire, 20-21 September 2004, lots 104 and 105.
