Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Inoue sei on an inlaid silver reserve and Hirofusa on an inlaid gold reserve
Each vase of tall, slightly flared form, cast, carved and inlaid in gold, silver, shakudo and copper with blossoming chrysanthemums and butterflies, the bottom section designed with birds flying over waves
