A RARE SANCAI-GLAZED MOLDED POTTERY PILLOW
LIAO DYNASTY (907-1125)
The concave rectangular top is rouletted with wave pattern within incised borders, and is glazed in green, cream, and amber. The front panel is molded in high relief with a lion mask, and the other three panels are molded with a frieze of foliate scroll. A vent hole is on one side.
