TWO GUAN-TYPE FACETED HU-FORM VASES
TONGZHI SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
Each is decorated in low relief on the two broad sides with a peach-shaped panel, and has a pair of rectangular lug handles on the narrow sides. Each is covered overall with a crackle-suffused glaze of pale aqua color, suffused with a wide network of dark grey and clear crackle on one and gold and clear crackle on the other, which also covers the base. The bottom of each foot has a black coating.
