A FAMILLE-ROSE BLUE AND WHITE ARCHAISTIC VASE

Based on an archaic bronze shape, the body is divided into quadrants on each side by raised strapwork decorated in underglaze blue with archaistic dragons and with diamond bosses at the interstices, each of the panels decorated in famille rose with one of the bajixiang. Further archaistic designs are on the neck between the pair of foliated bird handles with gilt highlights below a band of upright leaf tips. The vase is raised on a spreading foot encircled by a ruyi band.
