LATE QING DYNASTY
The jardinière has canted corners, and is finely decorated on each side with a quatrefoil panel, each decorated with different flowering plants or trees, one with hibiscus incorporating a cricket, and in another a pair of geese are in flight above chrysanthemum and rose. The panels are surrounded by pink and pale blue dragons linked with flower scrolls, and there are flower sprays on the canted corners, all reserved on a pale lime-green ground below a band of blue key fret on the outside of the rim, which is interrupted by an apocryphal Qianlong iron-red seal mark written in a line.
15 1/8 in. (38.4 cm.) wide
