A SMALL SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY TRIPOD JAR
TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The jar has a globular body raised on three lion-paw supports and is covered in a splashed glaze of green, dark and yellowish-amber color that is arranged in stripes on the outcurved rim and falls in an irregular line on the underside to expose the pale body. A yellow glaze is on the interior.
