SEVEN JIANYAO 'HARE'S FUR' TEA BOWLS
SONG DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
Each has a deep conical body covered on the interior and exterior with a lustrous black glaze finely streaked with 'hare's fur' markings thinning to russet brown at the rim and pooling in a line above the neatly cut foot rim to reveal the coarse ware fired to a dark purplish-brown color.
