A WELL-CARVED WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
1730-1840
The bottle, of irregular ovoid form, is carved in relief on each side with a bat, their overlapping wings enveloping the body of the bottle. The bats clutch the ends of a ribbon attached to a wan symbol near the mouth of the bottle. The stone is of attractive creamy-white color with russet striations.
2½ in. (6.3 cm.) high, metal stopper with coral finial
