A GROUP OF EIGHT KINGFISHER FEATHER-EMBELLISHED HAIR ORNAMENTS
19TH CENTURY
Comprising five hairpins; three are inset with an amber plaque, one is decorated with a spring-wired double cash motif and a bat, and the smallest is of flower form. There is a curved ornament decorated with a central flower flanked by insects, and there are two small flower-form ornaments, one set with a rose quartz cabochon, the other with a mother-of-pearl flower. All are mounted on a fabric-covered backing within a lucite box.
