A PALE GREENISH-WHITE AND RUSSET JADE FIGURE OF A GOOSE
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The goose is carved standing with head turned sideways and grasping in its beak stems of lotus leaves and millet which trail onto its back. The wings and tail are finely detailed with feathers. The pale greenish-white stone has areas of russet color.
