A PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE ARCHAISTIC VASE AND COVER
18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The tapering vase is of flattened oval section and carved in low relief below the shoulder with a band of bosses overlaid by a 'mask and ring handle' on the main sides, and has a pair of scroll handles that flank the neck. The lower body is carved with rows of petal lappets above a 'bead' band and further petal lappets on the pedestal foot. The cover is cut with a notch at each end and carved with a pendent petal band below a bud finial.
