A LARGE GREENISH-YELLOW JADE ARCHAISTIC GU-FORM VASE
Of rectangular section, each facet of the flaring neck is carved with upright blades and a lion-mask handle with suspended loose ring, above taotie masks carved on the facets of the middle section where a small chilong clings to each corner. The tall, splayed lower section is carved with pendent blades, as well as a chilong crawling around the side to peer at the large dragon, which clutches a lingzhi sprig, carved to one side amidst openwork, vaporous clouds. The stone has some brown mottling, and a high polish.
