A WHITE JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
The slightly compressed globular body is raised on three supports carved as the head and forelegs of a dragon balanced atop a 'pearl'. The censer is flanked by elaborately carved and pierced peony spray handles suspending loose rings. The domed cover is surmounted by a lion grasping a peony branch in its mouth. The stone is of an even pale greenish-white tone.
