A SMALL CARNELIAN AGATE TREE-TRUNK VASE

The vase is in the shape of an irregular section of tree trunk carved from the ivory-colored area of the stone, while the reddish areas are used to carve a stag seated at the base of a fruiting peach tree that issues from the base on one side, and lingzhi below a small bat at the rim on the other side. The base is incised with a Qianlong four-character seal mark.
