A MOTTLED GREEN JADEITE 'THREE FRIENDS' VASE
The vase is carved as the hollowed trunk of a pine tree rising from rocks at the base on which stands a crane grasping a sprig of lingzhi in its beak opposite a partially hollowed cane of bamboo, while on the reverse a long-tailed bird sits in the branches of a prunus tree. The semi-translucent stone shades from greenish-white to dark green.
6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high, carved gilt-wood base
