THREE PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE RECTANGULAR PLAQUES
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
Two are carved in openwork with a dragon, one leaping against a ground of fret pattern, with flowers at the sides, the other leaping above rocks and waves and amidst flowering, leafy plants against a ground of scrolling tendrils within a plain border. The third is deeply carved with a man holding a banner seated on an elephant being attacked by a lion.
