A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE RECTANGULAR PENDANT PLAQUE
18TH/19TH CENTURY
One side of the white pendant retains small areas of russet skin and is carved in low relief with two bats in flight beside a fruiting peach tree growing from the side of a cliff above waves, and on the reverse with the shuangxi (double happiness) within an outer key-fret border, all below two confronted birds carved in openwork at the top.
2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) high
