A PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE ROUNDED RECTANGULAR 'DRAGON' BELT PLAQUE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The plaque is well carved in relief with a five-clawed, scaly dragon leaping around a flaming pearl amidst clouds, and the plain reverse is flat. The stone is semi-translucent.

Compare the white jade belt buckle of this shape, which is similarly carved with a dragon grasping a flaming pearl amidst clouds, dated to the Qianlong period, which is in the Qing Court collection and illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - 41 - Jadeware (III), Hong Kong, 1995, p. 13, no. 9.
