A PALE GREYISH OLIVE-GREEN JADE RUYI SCEPTER
19TH CENTURY
The ruyi-shaped head is carved in low relief with a shou character surrounded by six of the bajixiang, while the other two Buddhist emblems are on the flared end of the arched handle that is bisected by a median ridge. The semi-translucent stone is of even, pale greyish-olive color and has a high polish.
