Comprising 23 non consecutive folios, each with a text panel of 14ll. of elegant nasta'liq script on gold-speckled paper arranged in two columns with double black-ruled gold intercolumnar division illuminated with a gold vine, title cartouches with red nasta'liq script on gold floral scroll, the text panel between blue and gold rules and coloured frame with gold floral scrolls, the very finely illuminated margins on blue, cream, pink, green or yellow card, each with lobed medallions of coloured paper around over a ground of gold floral scrolls, some folios with the scrolls filled in silver or gold, catchwords, old Iranian and Russian seal impressions; together with three similar folios from another Safavid manuscript, each individually mounted
